The Body as a Threshold brought together thirteen international artists whose works explored the body as a site of passage — a place where perception forms, where emotion meets environment, and where inner life is shaped by external pressures. Rather than presenting the body as a closed or autonomous entity, the exhibition approached it as something porous, continually shaped by what it encounters.

At its core, the project considered how the body both receives and responds: how sensation becomes understanding, how vulnerability becomes expression, and how external forces — cultural, environmental, technological — leave their mark on inner experience. The body emerged as a dynamic zone where meaning circulates, boundaries blur, and the self is constantly negotiated.

Across a wide range of media, the exhibition reflected on this openness: the ways the body absorbs the world, transforms it, and is transformed in return.
